My hair has evolved over the past 2 years. It went from super long when I went to Peru on the church missions trip.
Then it was medium when I started college.
Then I wanted something different, so my suitemate (and bestie) cut my bangs and gave me a trim.
Finals week second semester of my freshman year came and I cut a lot off for a new summer ‘do.
So then I got a few trims over the summer and in the fall it was shoulder length. Jon and I got engaged in October of last year and I knew we were getting married in December so I went on a cutting fast.
My friend and fellow RA at CNU, Erin, did my hair beautifully for the wedding.
Then two weeks ago I was ready for something new. It was a fairly drastic cut being that it was the shortest I had ever gotten it cut. I must say, it was scary watching the stylist chop off inches of my hair, but in the end it turned out alright.
I have had more than one person call this a “married haircut”. Meaning, I guess, that it is easy to take care of for a busy newly-married wife. It is easy to take care of and I love being able to throw a hairband in it. Oh, How I love hairbands! The only downside I have found is that Jon LOVES "fluffing" it with his hand. This has become almost as annoying as standing in the 10-items-or-less line behind someone with a full cart.
So, here’s to Married Haircuts!
All of our trials should be so horrid.
