Sometimes you just need to say no. Life gets so busy and everyone's pulling you every direction. I have to admit, I said I couldn't make it to a weekly meeting tonight not because I was sick, or because I had another meeting or because of a big exam tomorrow. It was just simply because I have a prior commitment to be with my husband.
With all of our travelling and meetings and kickball and company and work we hardly have time in the evenings to just do nothing!
So tonight I am cooking a homemade dinner (not takeout or frozen dinner!) and sitting down and relaxing. After all, I only have 4 hours until I will be fast asleep getting energized for a new day at work!
Tell me I'm not the only one with these kinds of prior commitments :)

A blog about the adventures of marriage, being young and in love, and parenting. Originally a blog about living "underground" in a suburban basement apartment, our life has moved to more above ground accommodations. My hope is that this serves as a hideout for other young wives, women, and even the occasional curious guy, seeking funny stories, recipes, activities, and advice. This blog will also chronicle our adoption adventure that started in spring of 2015.
Haha, no I think it's completely fair enough. To be able to properly enjoy other occasions, or to be able to help people fully or work hard, I think it's important to first make sure everything is going well at home. My husband and I said no to several invitations the other day so we could just stay home together the whole day. It was great! :)
ReplyDeleteI love lazy days. Especially the ones when the pj's never come off!
